The University of Technology Sydney (UTS) has a vision to be a world-leading university of technology. Its education and research disrupts, challenges and drives change across a range of disciplines, particularly in emerging and technology-driven fields.

UTS embodies practical innovation in its industry-engaged education and research and a distinctive campus precinct; it is a young institution immersed in a dynamic area that is undergoing reinvention within the City of Sydney.

About the School
The School of Education is based in a vibrant CBD campus with technology-enhanced, contemporary, formal and informal learning spaces.

The School boasts strengths in STEM education, evidenced by competitive grant success and research output. Primarily focusing on initial teacher education, the School also offers graduate education in areas including leadership and TESOL.

Following an external review, the School is open to a new direction, to build on its profile and align with the strengths and ambitions of its situation.

About the role

The new head of School brings a record of success in strategic planning and management, and in leading sustainable change, within a comparable tertiary education environment.

The right candidate will bring a future orientation, to be able to work with the School community, colleagues at the Faculty, and across UTS and with partners, to build a contemporary School; one that is aligned with UTS focus areas.
